Why? There are nearly 1.2 billion people on our planet between the ages of 15 and 25—the largest youth demographic in human history.

[This blog is part of  the "Impact Investing is a Verb?" blog series.]  Having great systems in place is not enough to bring about change. There is a need to dig deeper to ensure pre-conditions to its success are put in place. I saw this demonstrated in two interesting reports I read last week. One report, that appeared on Down to Earth, spoke about how the Indian Government spent INR3.65 to reach INR1 in aid and subsidies to the poor.

[This blog is a guest contribution on the "Policy Potluck" blog series.]   A few months back I went to see Waiting for Superman, the new documentary by Davis Guggenheim about the tragic state of the U.S. school system. The film follows five kids in different urban centers across America as they seek a better education than is being offered by the public school system. The education system in America, the film exhorts, is broken.
