Education sector in India is carving one of the biggest growth stories of recent times. Currently, India’s overall education market is estimated to be more than US$ 50 billion with an average compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16%. Out of this, the school education/K-12 segment constitutes the lion’s share with an estimated US$25 billion market size and poised for a larger growth in times ahead.

Out of 1 million+ schools spread across the country, nearly 93% are government owned and a mere 7% are private. However, quite surprisingly, private schools currently account for more than 40% of the 220 million+ students currently enrolled under school education system.
