Reflecting on the Past, Present, and Future: What will it take to achieve educational equity?
After two decades of progress, there is unprecedented momentum for change. Leaders in the effort
will share their thoughts on the current state of affairs and will reflect on what they think could drive
dramatically better outcomes for all kids in the future.

Leaders from some of the most influential social and political movements will share how they
built momentum and achieved transformational change, drawing out lessons for the fight for
educational equity.

The Culture of Greatness: Lessons in leadership from high-performing organizations
Leaders from outstanding companies will share how they have built cultures of excellence, leaving us
with lessons we can apply in our own classrooms, schools, and organizations.
Breakout discussions, Workshops, and Networking opportunities
Participants will gain insights and hone skills during discussions and workshops led by experts
across sectors. Sessions will address critical topics in education reform such as:
- Getting Things Done in Politically Complicated Environments: Collaborating to achieve educational equity
- Turning Around the Lowest Performing Schools in America: What are the models for success and what is the potential to grow them?
- Math and Science Education: What we need to do to catch up
- Changing Education through Social Entrepreneurship
- Meeting the Need for Diverse, Grassroots Leadership
- Segregation in American Schools and Its Impact on the Achievement Gap
- Finding a Personal Path to a Long-Term Career in Teaching
- The Road to Becoming a District Leader
Attendees will have a number of opportunities to engage in conversations with fellow champions
of education reform thorough programs like a career meet and greet, lunch discussions, and
networking receptions.
Closing Plenary
Realizing “One Day”: What role will each of us play?
Corps members, alumni and other champions of educational equity will issue their calls to action,
reflecting on what we must each do now to ensure that, one day, all children have the opportunity to
attain an excellent education.

education and social reform leaders, to reconnect with one another, discuss what we are learning, and
reflect on what more we must do to realize our shared vision of educational equity. Join more than
