Our SNAPS photo contest brings a new opportunity for EnterprisingSchools.com to see the Affordable Private Schools (APS) through your unique lens. The contest seeks to showcase the inspirational work that is being done in many countries to advance the sector and increase the quality of education that these schools provide to students.

By sharing your striking images, you’ll educate others about the existence and impact of APS, and help us tell the story of this remarkable industry: its vibrant ecosystem, new developments, and impact on APS students and their families.

This year’s competition is important as it coincides with the 2nd Annual Enterprising Schools Symposium to be held in Hyderabad, India in October 2010. The symposium will bring together global practitioners to boost progress of the low-cost, affordable private school sector that exists in many developing countries.

The Contest
We are looking for inspirational images of APS around the world. These images may reflect the wide variety of schools and education enterprise developments around the world, representing a range of students, teachers, parents, schools, stakeholders, educational products and services, technology, and interventions.

Each photo submission must be accompanied by a brief description (1-4 sentences) of the photo, including the location (i.e. school, organization), city and country where the photo was taken. The contest is open to APS stakeholders worldwide. Contestants may submit up to 10 different photographs, focusing on or more of the following themes:
• Innovation
• Influence
• Collaboration
• Impact

Judging
• From all entries four category winners and one grand prize winner will be selected.
• Category winners will be based on themes and geography: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America & Caribbean.
• An Es.com staff member, GMC Executive Director, and Beyond Profit editor will judge all entries to determine category winners.
• During the symposium participants will vote for the EnterprisingSchools.com member’s choice winner. This winner will be awarded the Grand Prize.
