South Africa: Low-fee Private Schools 'Viable'

Low-fee private schools are popping up in the most unconventional of places - from abandoned factories to former shopping centers, shacks and high-rise buildings. According to a study, if these rapid registration trends continue, the low-fee private schooling sector will still be booming in future.

These are just some of the findings from a study by the Centre for Development and Enterprise on South Africa's low-fee private schools. The study - conducted in seven areas in three provinces - found at least 117 registered and unregistered low-fee private schools.
