Uganda: 50 Private Schools Apply to Join Universal Secondary Education Program

The Minister of Education and Sports, Namirembe Bitamazire has said over 50 more private schools have applied to join the Universal Secondary Education (USE) and Universal Primary Education (UPC) programs in different parts of the country since the beginning of this year. She added that the schools that have applied to join UPE and USE programs can absorb over 5,000 students in 2011.

Bitamazire said the Ministry of Education and Sports welcomes private schools to join USE and UPE programs in different parts of the country.
